Here's to a new year! Below are a few pictures of the fun things we've done in January. Not included are pictures of me being totally stressed out, buried under millions of papers, holding auditions for the stake musical review, getting packets ready for 74 performers, or any of that other crazy stuff. But....we did have a great month, and we got visitors!!
Preschool swimming day!
Birthday month for these two.....12 and 5! Where has the time gone? And they were very patient to wait for their birthday party....they wanted to include Grandpa Smith.
But they did get their birthday dinners on their birthdays. Chinese and Spaghetti.
And here is the mess I came down to the night before Grandpa Smith arrived. This room was spotless only 5 minutes before. Weston sure knows how to make a mess in a hurry!
Katelyn's dolphin craft
My awesome friend Beth recording the choreography for our curtain call number....
Party time! I don't know why but they all wanted to pose on their sides for the picture. Weston is following suit.
Brandon's doughnut cake, and Dylan's orange creamsicle cake
Brandon is working hard to learn how to ride the unicycle he got for his birthday
We got to take Dad up to Snoqualmie Falls
That's not rain.....it's the mist being kicked up by all that water going over the falls
Then we hiked down to the bottom of the falls
Then on Sunday Brandon was ordained a Deacon. What a special day!
Thanks for being here for that Dad!
Then a few days later, Marianne flew in! She came to teach the hand jive to the people in the show doing that number.
It was a super quick trip, but so fun to see her! And we got to sing in church together too! Thank you Mar!
Then Monday morning we woke up and went to Disneyland!! We surprised them at Christmas with the trip, but what they didn't know is that we'd see our good friends from the ward there.....or that we'd be staying in the same house with them for three days. We should have recorded their reaction when we showed up to stay with them the first night. The kids went ballistic.
Blurry picture of us on the shuttle to the airport....bumpy ride
Us at our very first ride....the Tea Cups!
Justin and I went to a very nice lunch while our friends the Dolans watch the kids. It was super fun!
The kids hiding under the blankets on the sofa sleeper
The small but functional kitchen
The back yard with heated pool and hot tub
Then we drove up to Camarillo to play for a couple of days with the Woolfs. We've never been to their place before, so it was so fun to visit them there.
Love Lindsey's face after tasting ocean water
Then we returned home. And this blessed thing happened on the flight home. Weston fell asleep.
What a busy, crazy month!
