I convinced Justin to participate in this one with me. We sang in the Nordstroms store in downtown Seattle with 600 other people. It was pretty fun, and we made it a family affair. The kids were with us for the whole morning and we did some fun downtown things while we were there in Seattle. You cannot see us in the video. We were in the purses section, and with 600 singers, we got lost in the crowd. But it was surprising how many people around us were just there to shop. Love this music!

Christmas Tree
I love Christmas! And I love our Christmas tree!
Here we are doing some tree decorating....
(Brandon's all shiny because he had Vaseline on his poor sore nose.)
We are doing this backwards today....here's how we got our tree!
Thank you Coates Christmas tree farm! Love it!
December Happenings
We went to a family Christmas party last weekend and had a great time eating yummy food, singing Christmas carols and enjoying the great company.
Here is our family performing "Jingle Bells." We each had our own lines to sing. It was rather entertaining. Notice Lindsey trying to hide behind Justin.
Thanks to some ward friends for putting it on!
Why is this my favorite picture blurry? Darn!
Katelyn scraped her nose one day, and this is how I found her. Needless to say, this band-aid didn't last too long!
New skirts
Some Additions
We have had a few additions to the house lately. First of all, I finally have pictures of my kids up! We've only lived here for a year and a half. Better late than never, right?
This wall is perfect because you can see it from the front door, the pictures are easy to enjoy, but this little wall is out of the way so we won't bump our heads on the shelves. Mission accomplished!
And....this next one Justin was very excited about. He has wanted a fish tank, but we have had a hard time figuring out where it should go. After much deliberation and compromise we found the perfect spot and the perfect tank on craigslist for a fraction on the cost of a new one. It came with everything, decor, fish, and all of the stuff. The 37 gallon fits perfectly in the office on the wall between the closet and the opened door.
We tried the fish that came with the tank, but decided that they weren't the right kind. We found them new homes at a local fish store and bought some of the fish that we wanted.
The kids each got to pick out their own guppy. Below is a blurry picture of them (with one of our snails). I just didn't have the heart to tell the girls that their guppies were boys. The red one is Katelyn's that she named Sparkles. Lindsey named her yellow and orange one Susie. Brandon named his with a white body and black tail Freddy. Later we got a fancy tailed guppy for Dylan since the kids thought it was terribly unjust that Dylan didn't have one too. I think we named him Max.
We now officially have pets! But this doesn't stop the kids from asking when we are going to get a dog.

Thanksgiving Weekend
We are so glad that we were able to go down to Oregon this year and spend some time with Justin's side of the family. Lots of fun was had! Here's a little video I made to capture some of what we did.

Newspaper Article
Well, I made it into the local newspaper this last week with my friend Beth. We got to sing at the YMCA luncheon honoring veterans on Veteran's Day. It was a neat opportunity and we enjoyed singing the service anthems, the Star Spangled Banner and a few other patriotic songs.
Very fun! :)

Picture Update of October
I apologize for the volume of pictures here, but I just realized that there are a few that I haven't gotten around to posting for the month of October. So buckle up!
An FHE on the Sound. Lovely sunset.
Poor Dylan, yet another blackmail picture
and the culprit
Love these kids!!
The beginning of a big project. Knocking holes in the wall always makes me very nervous!
The accomplices, well, Reuben was the accomplice for knocking down my wall and Jamie was my accomplice in the kitchen
Yum!
And another home improvement project is born. That extra storage space under the stairs is going to be awesome though!
General Conference:
How the kids entertain themselves during General Conference:
And between sessions:
Katelyn made a bed for her unicorn to sleep in with lots and lots of pillows
And a dish towel on top. That's one comfy unicorn!
And here are some pictures of my kitchen helpers while the big kids are at school
I think that catches us up for now. Congratulations if you made it to the end!
