Wrapping up the summer

Well, here are some pics that wrap up the rest of our Seattle summer. We have been enjoying gorgeous weather (still) and lots of fun!

This randomness should bring the updates for the summer up to date!

Love this boy who loves hats!

Here is a peek at a bathroom stall Justin found himself in in Las Vegas....floor to ceiling windows next to the toilet. Hellllllllo world!

Our weekend watching the Millerberg kids. Here we are at the day of service breakfast....with 8 children!

Sunday afternoon fun with only 1 extra child

If Dylan can get his hands on a hose with running water, he WILL try to get you wet! Here is his face....the look of determination. Watch out!

Here is Brandon practicing the piano.....the comfortable way?

And my camera has been recovered! So here are a few more pictures with Aunt Cindy when she was here to visit with us!

The Seattle library is actually a really neat place. Don't look down.....

She was such a good sport and read books with the kids inside their fort

Art time!

Splash park!

Uh oh.....I think Cindy has found a new furry friend that she wants to take home with her

Snoqualmie Falls

Alright.....I think that's about all for my random summer pictures. We had a great summer!

Anniversary Weekend

Justin and I have now been married 11 years! And it was very fun to have a little weekend to ourselves a few weeks ago....aka the "baby moon." We started the festivities at the horse races with the kids. We got a great deal on admission, and thought that the kids would have fun watching the horses up close. It was chilly, but a fun experience.

There were lot of serious horse racing people there....spending some serious money! These ladies made me feel a bit under-dressed.

And then Justin had the rest of the night and next day to ourselves. On Saturday morning we woke up early and went up to the Seattle temple. We got to spend the whole morning there, which was fun since we usually only get to be up there for a couple of hours. Then we went off to downtown Seattle to play.

We went sailing, which was really fun on such a beautiful day.

This big cargo ship headed for China went right by us....man those things are huge!

Then we went over and did the underground tour. And if you don't know what that is....well, look it up. It's one of those things that you'll only be able to find in Seattle!

We ended the day with possibly the world's best macaroni and cheese for dinner from Pike Place Market before we drove down to get the kids. Yummmmmmy!!

Thanks Millerbergs for making it possible for us to have a day to ourselves before this little baby is born!

Sunrise

We finally made it up to Mt. Rainier a couple of times this summer. And we were able to go to Sunrise on Labor Day. It was breathtakingly beautiful. Sunrise is the highest point that you can drive to to get up by Mt. Rainier. It was a gorgeous day and we enjoyed going on a little hike and reading all of the signs along the way.

When we were on the hike, I felt like we were in "The Sound of Music." It was so beautiful!

Up at the top of the ridge you could see down on the other side of the mountain, and how different it looked. This side has been scraped out by a glacier sliding down the side of it years ago, and look how barren it is now.

"The hills are alive....with the sound of music!"

I am so glad we finally made it up there!

Camping 2012

Last year we went camping with the Millerbergs and had such a fun time we decided to make it an annual event as long as we can. This year we rented a cabin at Ensign Ranch for all of us to sleep in ("cabin" may sound big and luxurious, but it was very, very basic and just big enough to sleep all of us). But it turned out great, because we were warmer at night, we had a quiet place to put the little ones to sleep for naps and at night, and we were very close to all of the activities that we wanted to do. All in all, it was a fabulous trip!

Here are a few pictures to highlight some of the fun things we did....

And that doesn't cover the yummy food, or the canoeing, or the group games, or the late nights chatting under the stars. Very much worth all of the hard work! We had a great time!

Baby Maner #5

Just wanted to post here that we went in to get a fetal ECHO for our little baby and I posted about the findings on Dylan's blog.
