Sunrise

We finally made it up to Mt. Rainier a couple of times this summer. And we were able to go to Sunrise on Labor Day. It was breathtakingly beautiful. Sunrise is the highest point that you can drive to to get up by Mt. Rainier. It was a gorgeous day and we enjoyed going on a little hike and reading all of the signs along the way.

When we were on the hike, I felt like we were in "The Sound of Music." It was so beautiful!

Up at the top of the ridge you could see down on the other side of the mountain, and how different it looked. This side has been scraped out by a glacier sliding down the side of it years ago, and look how barren it is now.

"The hills are alive....with the sound of music!"

I am so glad we finally made it up there!

"Ah ah ah ah...." Just thought I'd join you in song! What a gorgeous place. Make note: when ever we come and see you guys, we're doing this hike!
