We have had a busy and fun end to May. Here's a few things we've been up to:
Fathers and Sons camp out with the stake at Zions Camp, owned by the Church. Dylan was so excited to be big enough to go this year!
The boys had a great time!
Here I am in Seattle waiting to eat dinner at Chinnok's. Justin just switched to the Canada team at Amazon and we went out to dinner with some of the people on his new team.
Just a few of them.....there were about 14 of us there.
And Justin and I had the amazing opportunity to go see the Piano Guys live up in Seattle. It was truly an amazing night!
We ended up carpooling with the Adams. Luckily we got to sit together.
On the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend we did a fun trip up to Redmond to go to the Root Beer Store. Yes it is owned by Mormons, and they have over 110 kinds of root beer there. It was impressive! We each picked out our own kind, picked up some Subway sandwiches and went to a nearby park to eat and play. We had so much fun trying everyone's different varieties.
Here's Weston eating my sandwich wrapper. He is at that age where everything within reach goes straight into the mouth.
We helped with a Fun Run at the school to benefit a 3rd grader in our stake who has a brain tumor. It was a great success, and the kids had a run time running and going to all of the booths.
We also went to the park with our friends the Millerbergs. We're trying to get in as much play time as we can because they're moving to Utah in a couple of weeks. We're grateful for good friends!
And we went to the zoo....just the kids and I on a day when they were out of school. It was fun, and we got absolutely soaked in a downpour at the end. We ran to the car in it and laughed all the way.
Weston loves helping Daddy with his work
Funny story: After I got done giving Brandon a hair cut one afternoon he said that there were a couple of hairs in the front that needed a little trim. He asked if he could take the scissors and do it himself while looking in the bathroom mirror. When he came back, this is what had happened. Ooops! It was harder to cut straight than he thought!
So after great effort, I had to cut the whole front off to match. Oh dear! Good thing hair grows fast!
Weston always looks surprised with his big eyed expressions
And finally, here is the big birthday girl! I can't believe that she is 6!
It was pirate day on her birthday, so I sent her to school like this.
Excited to open presents....
Yummy strawberry jello cake
Happy birthday sweet girl! We love your smiles and your funny personality. We're so glad you're in our family!
