Other Autumn Randomness

Well, here are some final pictures to bring things up-to-date.

These kids love a good book!

Can't believe that Charlie is almost 1!

Love this picture of Brandon and Charlie. A boy and his dog!

Why is it that whenever my kids notice me taking pictures they want to do lots of silly faces?

Pumpkin carving

Pulling out the summer garden

Dylan loves swinging himself

And he loves that if he lays down, Charlie will come and lay on him.

See??

We have enjoyed so much sunshine this summer/fall. It's been gorgeous! No complaining about the rain over here yet!

Blurry picture of 3 geckos we found in our back yard

The kids enjoyed a pack meeting turned carnival at the church

And they loved riding the carousel at the mall with Daddy

Alright. I think that's going to be all for now! Stay tuned for our exciting news about baby boy Maner joining us soon!

Halloween

This year has been a little bit crazy, with our plans changing multiple times with the arrival of our baby. His due date is Nov. 21, yes that's the day before Thanksgiving. This happens to be the busiest time of year for Justin at work.....just think Amazon.com.....Black Friday......4th quarter sales.......and you'll get the idea. Well, I've had placenta previa this time around, and so at 35 weeks they informed me that we'd have to deliver the baby by c-section at 37 weeks to avoid complications with that. They tried to schedule a c-section on Halloween. I said, No! And so they scheduled it on Nov. 1st at 8 am. We got things lined up, including airplane tickets for my mom to come out and help, Justin taking off work, parent teacher conferences scheduled on the only day I could do it, etc. We were all set.

We still don't have a baby. So what happened? Well, they did a final ultrasound at 36 weeks to check on things and the previa moved, which it almost never does this late in the game. So then they said, Just Kidding! And they moved the c-section out 2 weeks. So we have since had to find new tickets for my Mom, cancel the parent teacher conferences and fit them in elsewhere, and re-do our schedule. But we are thankful that this little boy will be bigger and stronger when he is born. Now his c-section is scheduled on Nov. 14th. That's 6 days away folks!

Now back to Halloween. I just wanted to help illustrate why things have been a little bit crazy around here lately. And Halloween was right in the middle of all of those changes going on. But we still had a fun time! We're doing things very simple this year, so I told the kids that they could be anything that they could invent out of what I already have, or what I could pick up at the dollar store.

My little cowboy....and Dylan loves telling you that he's a cowboy....

A Halloween Fairy

A girl Pirate

and a Secret Agent

And here they all are ready for trick-or-treating around the neighborhood!

Just look how cute Dylan is....trying to lift his leg and pose like his sisters.

Hope you had a fun Halloween!

Wicked!

Just have to say that it is so fun to live close enough to Seattle that we get to go up and play every so often. We spent a great night with friends at a fabulous oriental restaurant and going to see Wicked! It was my first time seeing the show, and it didn't disappoint.

Fun times!

These friends are from the Amazon/BYU MBA group. We love our good friends!

The Maners' Visit

We are so lucky that we got to see Grandpa and Grandma Maner for a couple of days at the beginning of October. We had so much fun seeing them! Here are a few pictures of our activities, including watching lots of General Conference!

Thanks for spending some time with us Mom and Dad! We loved getting to see you both!

School starting and the Puyallup Fair

Here is a picture of the kids on their first day of school.....Brandon is a big 4th grader, Lindsey is in 2nd grade, and Katelyn started kindergarten! These kids are getting way too big.

At the end of September we were able to go to the fair, courtesy of our awesome realtors. We loved having an afternoon of fun, all for free!

Look at Dylan's little intense face.....

We ended the day spending some time with our good friends in the ward remembering their beautiful little girl who died of a form of brain cancer when she was 6 years old. The kids loved releasing bright pink balloons in her memory and visiting her grave.
