This year has been a little bit crazy, with our plans changing multiple times with the arrival of our baby. His due date is Nov. 21, yes that's the day before Thanksgiving. This happens to be the busiest time of year for Justin at work.....just think Amazon.com.....Black Friday......4th quarter sales.......and you'll get the idea. Well, I've had placenta previa this time around, and so at 35 weeks they informed me that we'd have to deliver the baby by c-section at 37 weeks to avoid complications with that. They tried to schedule a c-section on Halloween. I said, No! And so they scheduled it on Nov. 1st at 8 am. We got things lined up, including airplane tickets for my mom to come out and help, Justin taking off work, parent teacher conferences scheduled on the only day I could do it, etc. We were all set.
We still don't have a baby. So what happened? Well, they did a final ultrasound at 36 weeks to check on things and the previa moved, which it almost never does this late in the game. So then they said, Just Kidding! And they moved the c-section out 2 weeks. So we have since had to find new tickets for my Mom, cancel the parent teacher conferences and fit them in elsewhere, and re-do our schedule. But we are thankful that this little boy will be bigger and stronger when he is born. Now his c-section is scheduled on Nov. 14th. That's 6 days away folks!
Now back to Halloween. I just wanted to help illustrate why things have been a little bit crazy around here lately. And Halloween was right in the middle of all of those changes going on. But we still had a fun time! We're doing things very simple this year, so I told the kids that they could be anything that they could invent out of what I already have, or what I could pick up at the dollar store.
My little cowboy....and Dylan loves telling you that he's a cowboy....
A Halloween Fairy
A girl Pirate
and a Secret Agent
And here they all are ready for trick-or-treating around the neighborhood!
Just look how cute Dylan is....trying to lift his leg and pose like his sisters.
Hope you had a fun Halloween!
