Let the good times roll!

This month has been a busy one! We finished up another year of school, and the kids said goodbye to their teachers from this year.

I was able to get a picture of Lindsey with Mrs. Raphael, but wasn't able to get a picture of Brandon with Mrs. Crain. They both had a fun year!

And we had fun with another year of preschool co-op for Katelyn. Here's a blurry picture of the proud graduates.

We have loved summer so far! It's so nice to just be home and not have a schedule every day. We've been getting into our summer routine which has been very nice.

Here are some pics of my cute pirates:
(notice Dylan trying to do the "arrrrrr!")

And my silly girls

We've loved being outside and going to the park

And I've decided that these kid are all getting way too big!

Brandon had an accident on his bike involving a rope, so he got a really big rope burn on his face and neck. It looks so much better now!

And as an extra special trip, we took the kids to the Great Wolf Lodge. It was SO much fun! The kids just loved playing in the water and going on all of the slides.

Inside the cool kids' cabin part of our room...complete with 3 beds for the kids to sleep on

We had a very fun 4th of July! The Elder's Quorum put on the ward breakfast with the local firefighters, so Justin was in charge and it went great. Justin took the kids to see some neat old cars in the afternoon.....

We had a fun BBQ that afternoon with some great friends, and sadly I didn't pull out the camera until the Adams had already left. But here are some pictures of the fireworks and fire pit with the Millerbergs.

Dylan not too sure about this sparkler thing any more....

Brandon's inventive idea for keeping the fire's smoke out of your eyes.....goggles of course!

Charlie was very cute sporting his red handkerchief that day

Mmmmmm.....smores!

What a fun day!

We've loved playing with water out back this summer

The kids all huddling around for cartoons

Dylan loves it when Charlie sits by him

And here is Lindsey helping Katelyn practice writing her letters. Can't believe that they're going to be in 2nd grade and kindergarten this year. Ahhhhhh!

So far, a busy fun summer!

Another......Baby?

Just wanted to post here that we are officially expecting another baby!

We are still in disbelief that we are on our way to being a family of......7! But so far, so good. We are planning on a very uneventful everything this time around. The kids are really excited, and placing bets on if this baby will be a boy or a girl. I will be 17 weeks tomorrow, so we're definitely getting there. We will post the gender when we find out in a few weeks.

Perhaps this info will put a little bit more perspective on the posts below about our crazy month of May.

Oh BOY!

April Showers Bring May Flowers

We had a very, very busy month of May! I headed up the cupcake sale for our young women, and we were able to get 18 of them paid in full for girl's camp this summer. I'd say it was a huge success! But I'll just say....frosting 1,200 cupcakes in one sitting is not for the faint of heart! Here are some pictures of our delicious cupcakes that were delivered the day before Mother's Day....

They were really good, and it was a good thing too, because we ended up with 48 at our house!

It took me a few hours to recover from that. And of course Katelyn's birthday and dance festival was only 2 weeks after. Those events are covered in posts below.

But other than all of that, here are some pictures to sum up the rest of our month!

Trip to the fire station for cub scouts with Daddy

Daddy's shakes are the best!

A fun day with Daddy while Mommy is at dance festival

Glow golf! Too bad we didn't get a picture of Katelyn's glow in the dark toes!

Service projects with the Elder's Quorum

Daddy and Brandon getting very creative and inventing a faster way to grind up the Montreal Steak Seasoning....with a drill and funnel!

Lindsey's self-portrait

Winter hats, anyone?

Eating popsicles out back

Katelyn trying to keep Charlie from helping Dylan

Katelyn's cast

We are thankful for sunny days! Hope your May was great!

Katelyn turns 5!

I can't believe that this little girl is 5! Where has the time gone? A couple of weeks after we moved into this house, we celebrated Katelyn's 2nd birthday:

Now look at her! Way too big.

We of course did our little family party

And she picked out a German chocolate cake this year

She was very excited to open her gifts

The kids love picking out dollar store gifts for each other's birthdays. They are always very thoughtful!

What a funny, smiley little girl you are Katelyn! We love you!

Dance Festival

At church I get to work with the young women, ages 12-18 and it has been a great experience so far! It sure keeps me busy though. The youth have been practicing since February for a huge dance festival that we just put on a couple of weekends ago. It was a LOT of work, but it came off being an amazing experience for the kids. We had about 1,200 youth participating from 6 stakes around the Seattle area.

On the day of the festival, I arrived at about 7:20 am and didn't go home until after 8:00 pm. It was a very, very long day. The performance was in the Kent Sho Ware Center, which is an indoor ice hockey arena. I got to chaperone 9 beehive girls (ages 12-13) all day as we moved them from place to place, rehearsal to rehearsal, in and out of costumes, etc. It was absolutely crazy behind the scenes, but the kids looked amazing out on the floor.

Here's a picture of the girls I got to spend the whole day with:

Here are about half of the youth in the opening number. I could only get half of the floor in one shot.

And a few shots from some of the numbers

It was worth all of the time and effort. Now we get to take a break for 4 years!
