Happy Birthday Lindsey!

Hard to believe this little lady is 5 years old!

We had a pretty laid back day cleaning and getting ready for Lindsey's party. She was so excited all day long. What a cutie!

Lots of goodies!

Dylan slept through the party, but fell asleep like this. Yes Dylan??

Playing Catch-Up

Today is Dylan's second day at home, well, our home away from home in Utah. We are adjusting to things here and making due without a lot of our baby stuff which is at home in Seattle. But it's so nice to not have to go up to the hospital to see him every day!

I am going to attempt to post a few pictures which will have to do as a summary of the last 6 weeks - other than the pictures I have posted on Dylan's blog. (This will be a work in progress.)

Here goes nothing!

(Wish we could have been there! Can you believe we went to Utah to go to the wedding and got the flu? Justin and I didn't get to go to the sealing or the reception. But it was a beautiful day for Erin and Sean. And then my water broke the next morning at 6:15 am. Crazy turn of events!

New Blog

To simplify our communications about our current situation, we have created a new blog that is public. It's too bad you can only have 100 readers on the private ones.We will keep it up to date with the news. Please feel free to check it. But we will continue to post here about the kids, our family and other personal things.

A New Perspective

Expect the Unexpected

We had a nice Christmas and will post about it soon. Christmas afternoon we left for Utah to visit Jenn's family and to go to her sister Erin's wedding. Unfortunately the flu hit so we couldn't be there on her special day. On Thursday, the day after the wedding, Jenn's water broke at 6:15am. She has been admitted to the hospital and will not be transferred to Seattle. She is 32 weeks along and they are really hoping to push out the pregnancy at least two more weeks. Once the baby is born, he will be in the NICU for some time. So at this point we don't know how long Jenn and the baby will be in Utah. Thankfully, we have lots of help from family here watching the kids and giving us support.

The most recent ultrasound found two additional defects, one with the bladder and another with the stomach. The problems are both correctible and not as serious as the heart condition. However, these defects further indicate a chromosomal disorder.

We will be fasting for Jenn and the baby this Sunday. We really appreciate the thoughts, prayers, concern, and generosity of so many on our behalf.
