We had a fabulous trip for two whole weeks to Arizona this month! We were there to attend Justin's sister's wedding to Chad, and we were there to spend quality time with Justin's parents, and his Dad who was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. While we were there we witnessed a miracle of Justin's Dad being healed completely from this terminal cancer. So we were so happy on two counts!
Click on the link below to view a fun video that I made to commemorate this trip!
And below are some other pictures from our trip that weren't included in the video:
Being entertained on the airplane
Visiting Launa's grave (Justin's older sister who was a still born baby). I have never been to visit her grave, and I'm so glad that we took the time to go.
Can't beat Arizona sunsets!
Love reading with Grandma!
Happy 4th of July! Waiting for the Show Low parade to start!
Some of our favorites
The local LDS ward did the best float in the whole parade! Way to represent!
Waiting for candy
Many entries were dedicated to the fallen 19 in the Yarnell fire that had just happened a couple of weeks before. Justin's brother and nephew fight forest fires in the summer, so this hit very close to home. It was amazing to see the huge support and patriotism from these small White Mountain towns!
Loved cooling off the in the sprinklers!
Here's the guys doing lots of yard work.
Three little monkeys
At cowboy poetry and music night
Parade #2 in Heber, AZ, July 6th

What a happy day!
Dylan was very tired and didn't want anything to do with all of the picture taking!
Trying to cheer him up....
Thanks for the grown out of matching dresses Jillie!
Singing songs for Grandma
Katelyn loved petting the pig every day

Playing Apples to Apples with Grandpa
Brandon went "hunting" with his cousins and uncle Jimmie a few times during our trip on and around Grandpa's property. I couldn't believe that they came back with 2 rabbits! Brandon's first kill! Oh boy - looks like we have a hunter in the family. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately....) we couldn't eat the rabbit. They have diseases in months that don't have an "R" or the summer months. Darn! :) Also, the kids got to collect eggs daily, feed the chickens and pigs, squish tomato worms, watch the chickens eat the still alive crawdads that we fished for, and witnessed a rooster getting his head chopped off! Definitely a taste for country living that we don't get in Seattle!
Lindsey bit the dust in the same muddy puddle....twice! How did that happen??
Admiring Grandma's necklace
Happy to have a break from the car seat!
On our way back to the Phoenix airport to go home. We took some time to take the kids to the Mesa, AZ temple where we were married. What a beautiful place!
We grabbed one of my favorite treats from growing up in Mesa for our drive to the airport. Let me just say.....Bahama Bucks and the Bahama Rama Mama! Oh my goodness. Heavenly.
That's it folks!
