We have had a few additions to the house lately. First of all, I finally have pictures of my kids up! We've only lived here for a year and a half. Better late than never, right?
This wall is perfect because you can see it from the front door, the pictures are easy to enjoy, but this little wall is out of the way so we won't bump our heads on the shelves. Mission accomplished!
And....this next one Justin was very excited about. He has wanted a fish tank, but we have had a hard time figuring out where it should go. After much deliberation and compromise we found the perfect spot and the perfect tank on craigslist for a fraction on the cost of a new one. It came with everything, decor, fish, and all of the stuff. The 37 gallon fits perfectly in the office on the wall between the closet and the opened door.
We tried the fish that came with the tank, but decided that they weren't the right kind. We found them new homes at a local fish store and bought some of the fish that we wanted.
The kids each got to pick out their own guppy. Below is a blurry picture of them (with one of our snails). I just didn't have the heart to tell the girls that their guppies were boys. The red one is Katelyn's that she named Sparkles. Lindsey named her yellow and orange one Susie. Brandon named his with a white body and black tail Freddy. Later we got a fancy tailed guppy for Dylan since the kids thought it was terribly unjust that Dylan didn't have one too. I think we named him Max.
We now officially have pets! But this doesn't stop the kids from asking when we are going to get a dog.

That's so cool that it all came together. The tank looks nice in that spot too. Hooray!!!
Nice decorating! It's hard to imagine you've been in your new house that long. I love your fish's names!
