Halleluiah!

We finally got a replacement for our video camera that died early in the summer. It has been very tempramental since we took it to Nauvoo, IL for a family reunion two years ago (it really didn't like the humidity). But when we hit Seattle this summer it refused to work anymore. We finally took it in for an estimate and found that it would cost more to repair than it was worth. After lots of research, let me introduce you to the Flip video camera. It is the smallest video camera I've ever operated!

It is so fun to use though! We had fun video taping the kids yesterday.

Last night Justin took Lindsey on a special Daddy-daughter date.

They went to the Botany Pond to feed the ducks at Lindsey's request and had a picnic dinner that she had helped me make before they left. They had a great time! Justin took this cute video of her while on the date with our new Flip camera. Check it out:

While they were out having fun Brandon, Katelyn and I got out the blocks to build towers in the front room. Katelyn enjoyed stakcing them for a few minutes but quickly learned that it is much more fun to knock the towers over. Brandon had to protect his "castle with a football field and a basement" many times from the destroyer.

I don't know why Katelyn kept trying to step on the blocks. It looked like it hurt to me!

We had a fun time though. Hopefully we will be able to continue the "date" tradition every few weeks so that the kids get to have some one-on-one time with their dad. He's so busy with school!

Super cute. My favorite is 'feed the ducks and... LOOK at the ducks!'

It was so fun to see Lindsey talking! She's always so shy around us. What a cute little personality!

How Cute! I have to say that my favorite line that she said was, "That looks like a great idea!" when you told her about the ice cream. SOO CUTE! :)

I agree with Chantelle - that was such a cute line and the inflection of her voice was so cute.
Hope that you can keep up the special time with each of the kids.
That was quite the BYU game today, wasn't it. How did it go with the kids! We watched it at Baileys with them and Chapples. Super!

Oh! I want to play with your new camera! Way cool! About walking on the blocks, I think I used to do that back in the day.....

Wow, that's a very small camcorder--that's the size for me! Quite some different that the first one your Dad had, it's amazing they can make them so small. Did you get it free from Amazon? J/K :) Congratulations on your offer with Amazon, I'm sure that relieves some pressure.
